Summary of OpenOffice.org Code Analysis Project

Background of the project:

Currently, development of OpenOffice.org(OOo) is running by Humburg development team which is taking a leading part, and Japan has no main development team. It is unconvenient for users and developers to use OOo in Japanese Environment, compare to the applications which has main development team.

To offer satisfying support for users who use OOo in Japanese environment, it may be necessary to build a development team in Japan that has sufficient technical capabilities to maintain source code and support of OOo.

Target of the project:

Good-Day. Inc. and some members of OOo User Group Japan started OOo Code Analysis Project to understand and comprehend millions of OOo source code. It's target is to be a development block of OOO in Japan, cooperate with international development block, and support users who use OOo in Japanese environment in future.
